Description
In conjunction with Wang Weixin’s first-ever exhibition in Southeast Asia, iPRECIATION is proud to present Wang Weixin’s monograph, Wang Weixin 王維新, as a tribute to Wang’s contribution and success in the fine arts. Born in 1938 in Zhejiang, China, Wang Weixin is indisputably one of the world’s most gifted watercolorists. Wang’s paintings convey the essence of fleeting moments, capturing the quaintness and articulating his immediate innermost reflections. A master of freehand sketching, Wang’s paintings exude the romantic sentiments of a capricious instant in every meaningful line and stroke, rousing viewers to envisage the beauty of a point in time splendidly recorded.
Boasting a collection of more than 100 of Wang’s masterpieces collected since 1950s, this publication is a comprehensive guide to Wang’s oeuvre of works and features some of his best watercolour paintings. It is accompanied by an essay by Dr Zhu Qi, Cultural Counsellor of People’s Republic of China Embassy in Singapore and personal confidante to Wang.
